Product Specific Information

  • Reconstitution: Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute in 5 mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.4, to a concentration of 0.1–1.0 mg/mL. Further dilutions should be made in aqueous buffers supplemented with carrier protein (0.1–1.0% BSA).
  • Storage: Lyophilized protein is stable at room temperature for up to 1 month. For long-term storage, keep at -20°C. Working aliquots with carrier protein are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Target Information

FGF10 is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family, which possesses broad mitogenic and cell survival activities. It is involved in embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. FGF10 shows mitogenic activity for keratinizing epidermal cells but minimal activity for fibroblasts, similar to FGF7. Studies of the mouse homolog indicate its role in embryonic epidermal morphogenesis, brain development, lung morphogenesis, and limb bud formation. It is also implicated as a key factor in wound healing processes.
