The MA1-7303 antibody reacts with E. coli O157 in bacterial and infected tissue samples. Purified bacterial suspensions diluted at 1:1,000 in LPS extraction buffer were used as antigen sources.
MA1-7303 has been successfully used in ELISA and Immunofluorescence applications.
This antibody was raised against E. coli O157 Antigen.

E. coli serotyping is based on three main antigen types:
- O antigen: terminal sugars on the lipopolysaccharide surface
- K antigen: capsular antigens
- H antigen: flagellar antigens
