The MA1-7296 antibody reacts with Cytomegalovirus pp65 in viral and infected tissue samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and Immunofluorescence applications.
Acetone fixation of the antigen source is recommended prior to staining.
The MA1-7296 antibody was raised against purified CMV pp65.
Target Information
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is an opportunistic pathogen infecting lung, kidney, gut, and other organs in immunologically immature individuals such as fetuses and neonates.
Infection also occurs in immunosuppressed patients (e.g., transplant recipients, chemotherapy patients, and those with HIV).
CMV is an enveloped double-stranded DNA virus, known in humans as human herpesvirus 5 (HHV-5).
