Product Specific Information

• Description: Monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Used in immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, and ELISA.
• Applications Tested: Validated by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocyte suspensions. Should be used at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome Properties: Super Bright 436 is excited with a violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent.
• Staining Recommendation: When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
• Excitation/Emission/Laser: 405 nm / 436 nm / Violet Laser

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies produced by rats in response to antigens. Commonly used as a negative control in experiments due to minimal binding to mammalian antigens. Applicable in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting for antigen detection. Also utilized in gene targeting studies for disease model development.
