Product Specific Information
The 145-2C11 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD3e, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR complex. The epsilon chain, along with gamma and delta, is essential for proper assembly, trafficking, and surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes and all mature T cells. Binding of 145-2C11 to TCR initiates intracellular signaling leading to activation, proliferation, or apoptosis depending on conditions.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes at ≤1 µg/test (100 µL volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.

Target Information
The CD3 complex transduces antigen-recognition signals into the cytoplasm of T cells and regulates TCR surface expression. CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta) are members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded on chromosome 11. They associate with cytoplasmic signal transduction molecules via tyrosine-based motifs. CD3 is expressed on most T lymphocytes and thymocytes but not on B or NK cells. Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
