- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human CLEC1, CLEC2, CLEC3B, and CLEC10A is observed.

Target Information
CLEC-14A (C-type lectin domain family 14 member A), also known as EGFR-5 (epidermal growth factor receptor 5) or CEG1, is a 490 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein that contains one C-type lectin domain and an EGF-like domain.
The gene encoding CLEC-14A maps to human chromosome 14, which houses over 700 genes and comprises nearly 3.5% of the human genome.
Chromosome 14 encodes the presinilin 1 (PSEN1) gene, associated with Alzheimer’s disease, and the SERPINA1 gene, which when defective leads to alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency causing lung and liver dysfunction.
