Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if the product is not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This antibody is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid and should be diluted only prior to immediate use.
Anti-Carboxypeptidase Y is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process including delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion-exchange chromatography, followed by extensive dialysis against the specified buffer.
Immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Rabbit Serum, and purified or partially purified Carboxypeptidase Y (Baker’s Yeast).
Cross-reactivity with Carboxypeptidase Y from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
Carboxypeptidase Y is involved in the degradation of small peptides. It digests peptides containing aliphatic or hydrophobic residues in the P1' position, as well as methionine, leucine, or phenylalanine in the P1 position of an ester substrate.
