Target Information
PGM2L1 is a glucose 1,6-bisphosphate synthase that uses 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate as a phosphate donor and various 1-phosphate sugars (e.g., glucose 1-phosphate, mannose 1-phosphate, ribose 1-phosphate, deoxyribose 1-phosphate) as acceptors.
5- or 6-phosphosugars are poor substrates, except for glucose 6-phosphate. PGM2L1 also synthesizes ribose 1,5-bisphosphate and exhibits low phosphopentomutase and phosphoglucomutase activity.
