Target Information
Acts as a component of the WASH core complex, regulating actin polymerization at endosome surfaces. Involved in endosome tubule fission and sorting, mediating recruitment of WASH core complex via phospholipid and VPS35 binding. Promotes localized F-actin polymerization for vesicle scission.
Binds phospholipids including PtdIns-(4)P, PtdIns-(5)P, and PtdIns-(3,5)P2.
Participates in endosome-to-plasma membrane trafficking and recycling of SNX27-retromer-dependent cargo such as GLUT1.
Required for association of DNAJC13, ENTR1, ANKRD50 with retromer CSC subunit VPS35 and for endosomal recruitment of CCC and retriever complex subunits.
