Target Information
이 유전자는 type 1 gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) 수용체를 암호화합니다.
GnRHR은 7회 막관통 G-단백질 결합 수용체(GPCR) 계열에 속하며, 뇌하수체의 생식세포, 림프구, 유방, 난소, 전립선 등에서 발현됩니다.
GnRH 결합 시, G-단백질과 결합하여 인지질이노시톨-칼슘 신호전달계(PI-Ca2+ pathway)를 활성화하며, 결과적으로 황체형성호르몬(LH)과 난포자극호르몬(FSH)의 분비를 유도합니다.
이 유전자의 결함은 저생식선자극호르몬성 성선기능저하증(HH)의 원인이 될 수 있습니다.
5' 말단의 다수 전사 개시 부위와 3' 말단의 다중 polyA 신호를 포함한 다양한 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
