Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with monkey, bovine, and pig.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
Rb is a tumor suppressor nuclear phosphoprotein capable of binding to DNA. It is phosphorylated on serine and threonine residues and forms complexes with SV40 large T antigen, adenovirus E1A, and human papilloma virus-16 E. Rb protein may regulate transcription, and loss of its function can lead to uncontrolled cell growth. Aberrations in the RB gene are implicated in cancers of the breast, colon, prostate, kidney, nasopharynx, and leukemia.
