Product Specific Information

PA5-19733 targets CDCA2 in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide conjugated to KLH derived from within residues 950 to the C-terminus of Human CDCA2.
PA5-19733 detects CDCA2, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 125 kDa.

Target Information

Cell division cycle associated 2 (CDCA2, Repo-Man) is a cell-cycle protein that recruits protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) to mitotic chromatin at anaphase onset, essential for cell proliferation.
Phosphorylation and dephosphorylation events regulate CDCA2 localization and function, influencing chromatin binding and histone H3 dephosphorylation.
The CDCA2/PP1 complex is also involved in nuclear envelope reformation during mitotic exit and may play a role in DNA repair.
Increased CDCA2 expression has been observed in various cancers, including melanoma, neuroblastoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and synovial sarcoma, suggesting its potential as a prognostic marker.
