Target Information
Transglutaminase (TGase)는 Ca²⁺ 결합을 필요로 하는 단백질 간 교차결합 효소로, e-(γ-glutamyl) lysine isopeptide 결합 형성을 촉진합니다. 포유류에서 8가지 TGase 동형효소가 존재하며, Tissue transglutaminase (tTGase, TGase 2)는 N-terminal β-sandwich, catalytic core, 두 개의 C-terminal β-barrel 도메인을 포함합니다. tTGase는 세포 사멸, 증식, 분화 및 수용체 매개 세포내이입(endocytosis)에 관여할 수 있습니다. 알츠하이머병 뇌에서 tTGase 활성 증가는 Ab peptide, β-amyloid precursor protein, tau 단백질 등의 중합을 유도하여 신경섬유 엉킴(neurofibrillary tangles) 형성과 관련이 있습니다.
