Target Information
The Myb family of transcription factors, including A-, B-, and c-Myb genes, regulates differentiation, cellular growth, and gene expression.
c-Myb is essential for hematopoietic cell proliferation and differentiation, with levels decreasing as cells mature.
Myb-binding protein 1A (MYBBP1A) is a nuclear protein mainly localized in nucleoli. It interacts with multiple transcription factors, including c-Myb and AhR, enhancing AhR-dependent gene expression.
MYBBP1A negatively regulates PPARγ coactivator 1α (PGC-1α) via p38 MAPK and functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein utilizing CRM1-dependent and independent export pathways.
