Target Information

USP13 is a deubiquitinase that mediates deubiquitination of target proteins such as BECN1, MITF, SKP2, and USP10. It plays roles in autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD).

  • Regulates autophagy and p53/TP53 levels through interaction with BECN1 and USP10
  • Participates in a regulatory loop involving PIK3C3/VPS34 complexes
  • Recruited by nuclear UFD1 to mediate deubiquitination of SKP2
  • Regulates ERAD via UBL4A deubiquitination
  • Stabilizes SIAH2 by impairing its autoubiquitination
  • Prefers Lys-63–linked polyubiquitin chains and shows weak deubiquitinase activity in vitro
  • May cleave ISG15 in vitro (requires further validation)
