PEP-1122 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-21008.
Target Information
HVCN1 (hydrogen voltage-gated channel 1) is a voltage-gated proton channel protein highly expressed in immune tissues. It mediates proton conductance required by phagocytic leukocytes for the oxidative burst involved in microbial killing.
HVCN1 moderates voltage-dependent proton permeability by allowing proton flow according to the electrochemical gradient. It is sensitive to zinc ions, which can inhibit its activity.
HVCN1 may represent a potential therapeutic target for B cell malignancies due to its role in B cell antigen receptor signaling.
