Product Specific Information
- Detects endogenous C/EBP epsilon protein at molecular weights of approximately 30 and 45 kDa.
- Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
C/EBP alpha regulates gene expression in various tissues including liver, adipose, lung, and intestine. It binds DNA through a bipartite structural motif involving leucine zipper-mediated dimerization and basic DNA-binding domains. C/EBP alpha functions primarily in terminally differentiated, growth-arrested cells.
The C/EBP family includes alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and epsilon members, which share similar DNA-binding properties. C/EBP beta and delta can form heterodimers with each other and with C/EBP alpha.
