Antibody detects endogenous levels of JAK2 only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 1007.
Target Information
Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) is a protein tyrosine kinase involved in cytokine receptor signaling pathways and is mutated in polycythemia vera. JAK2 contains the catalytic domain (JH1), and its activation leads to phosphorylation of STAT proteins, which dimerize and translocate to the nucleus to regulate gene transcription. JAK2 is required for IFN gamma-receptor complex initiation, while JAK1 acts as an amplifier. Mutations in JAK2 are associated with Budd-Chiari syndrome, polycythemia vera, thrombocythemia 3, myelofibrosis, and acute myelogenous leukemia.
