CTLA4 (Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Antigen 4)는 주로 CD4+ T 세포에서 발현되는 CD28 계열 수용체입니다.
CTLA4는 CD28과 동일한 리간드(CD80, CD86)에 결합하지만, 더 높은 친화도를 가집니다.
CD28이 T 세포 기능을 활성화하는 반면, CTLA4는 T 세포 기능을 억제하여 면역 반응을 조절합니다.
조절 T 세포(regulatory T cells) 내에서도 발현되며, 그 기능 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
