Target Information
AIRE는 DNA에 이합체 및 사합체 형태로 결합하는 전사 조절 단백질로, 유전자 발현 조절에 관여합니다. 핵 단백질로서 545개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있으며, HSR 도메인, 두 개의 PHD 타입 zinc finger, SAND 도메인을 포함합니다. 고분자 복합체 형태로 존재할 수 있으며, CBP 및 CREBBP 전사 공동활성인자와 상호작용합니다. 세 가지 isoform이 보고되었으며, 그 중 하나는 핵 매개 decay(NMD) 후보로 예측됩니다. AIRE는 면역 조절에 관여하며 E3 ubiquitin ligase 활성을 매개합니다. AIRE 결함은 희귀 자가면역 질환인 APECED(autoimmune polyendocrinopathy-candidiasis-ectodermal dystrophy)를 유발합니다.
