The eBioLUEE antibody reacts with mouse Granzyme B (GrB), a member of the granzyme serine protease family found in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. Granzyme B (also known as CGL1 or CTLA-1) is expressed only in cytotoxic T-lymphocytes after activation and plays a crucial role in inducing apoptosis of target cells via the mannose 6-phosphate receptor.

Applications Reported: This antibody has been reported for use in ELISA.
Applications Tested: Tested as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA for mouse Granzyme B in combination with purified 16G6 (Product #14-8822-82) as the capture antibody and recombinant mouse Granzyme B as the standard. Recommended concentration range: 0.5–2 µg/mL.

Target Information

Granzyme B is a serine protease found in cytotoxic T cells and NK cells, responsible for inducing apoptosis in target cells. It acts through cleavage of caspase-3 and Bid protein, initiating both caspase cascade and mitochondrial apoptosis pathways. Granzymes (A–G in mouse) are stored in lytic granules of CTLs and NK cells and play key roles in immune-mediated cell death.
