Mouse anti-Human HLA-B7 antibody, clone BB7.1 recognizes the HLA-B7 antigen and does not cross-react with HLA-B27 or other related antigens.
Target Information
HLA-B7 is one of the polymorphic proteins of human MHC Class I found on all nucleated cells. This surface protein is a heterodimer consisting of the specific transmembrane HLA-B chain paired with Beta-2 microglobulin.
Classical MHC Class I molecules play a central role in adaptive immunity by presenting antigenic peptides to T cells. The ligands include T cell receptor (TCR) and CD8.
Hundreds of HLA-B alleles have been described, and typing for these polymorphisms is routinely done for transplantation.
HLA and MHC antibodies are key tools in Immunopeptidomics, aiding in neoantigen identification and characterization via LC-MS/MS.
