- In sandwich ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-3, IL-4, IL-6, IL-7, IL-8, or recombinant mouse IL-1β, IL-2, IL-3, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-7 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is an immuno-modulatory cytokine important for the proliferation of activated T cells and differentiation of B cells, NK cells, monocytes, and macrophages. IL-2 signals through the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), a heterotrimeric complex whose gamma chain is shared by IL-4 and IL-7. Expression of the IL-2 gene in mature thymocytes is monoallelic, representing a unique regulatory mechanism. Disruption of the IL-2 gene in mice leads to an ulcerative colitis-like disease, indicating its essential role in immune response regulation.
