Target Information
APAF1 유전자는 세포질 단백질을 암호화하며, 세포자멸(apoptosis)을 개시합니다. 이 단백질은 WD-40 도메인, caspase recruitment domain (CARD), 그리고 ATPase domain (NB-ARC)을 포함합니다. Cytochrome c와 dATP 결합 시, oligomeric apoptosome을 형성하여 caspase 9를 활성화시키고, 이후 caspase cascade를 유도하여 세포 사멸을 유도합니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 isoform이 생성됩니다.
