Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

CYP2E1 is a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes, functioning as a monooxygenase involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and other lipids.
This enzyme localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and is induced by ethanol, diabetic states, and starvation.
It metabolizes both endogenous substrates (ethanol, acetone, acetal) and exogenous substrates (benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ethylene glycol, nitrosamines).
Due to its diverse substrate range, CYP2E1 is implicated in processes such as gluconeogenesis, hepatic cirrhosis, diabetes, and cancer.
