Target Information
The Nkx2.2 protein contains a homeobox domain and is involved in the morphogenesis of the central nervous system. The gene is located on chromosome 20 near NKX2-4, and both are duplicated on chromosome 14 as TITF1 and NKX2-8. This protein functions as a nuclear transcription factor.
