For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

IFN gamma (Interferon gamma, Type II interferon) is a macrophage activation factor produced mainly by T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells in response to various stimuli.
It is a dimeric glycoprotein (~45 kDa) consisting of two 146 amino acid subunits, showing species-specific biological activity.
Human IFN gamma does not cross-react with mouse IFN gamma.

Functions include:

• Antiviral and tumor antiproliferative activity
• Induction of MHC class I and II molecules
• Macrophage activation
• Enhanced immunoglobulin secretion by B cells
• Cytokine regulation and JAK-STAT pathway activation

Human IFN gamma shares ~40% sequence homology with mouse IFN gamma and is upregulated by IL2, FGF basic, EGF, and downregulated by vitamin D3 or DMN.
Mutations in the IFN gamma gene are associated with aplastic anemia.
