Product Specific Information
This F38-2E2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD366 (TIM3, HAVCR2). CD366 is a cell surface receptor expressed on activated CD4+ T cell subsets (Th1, Th17, Treg), CD8+ T cells, monocytes, dendritic cells, and mast cells. Galectin-9 is its known ligand, and CD366 plays a role in negative regulation of CD4+ T cells, tolerance, autoimmune disease, and HIV infection.

- Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry on human peripheral blood cells
- Recommended: 5 µL (0.25 µg)/test (100 µL final volume)
- Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirical)

Target Information
TIM3 (HAVCR2) is a 281 amino acid, type-1 Th1-specific cell surface glycoprotein expressed on terminally differentiated CD4+Th1 and CD8+Tc1 cells. It contains:
- IgV-like domain
- Mucin-like extracellular domain
- Tyrosine phosphorylation motif in cytoplasmic region
TIM3 is involved in macrophage activation, autoimmune disease induction, and immune tolerance regulation. It is linked to experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) and Th1-mediated immune responses.
