Target Information
MSH3는 DNA 복제 후 mismatch repair (MMR) 시스템의 구성 요소입니다. MSH2와 이합체를 형성하여 MutS beta 복합체를 이루며, DNA 불일치를 인식하고 수선 과정을 개시합니다. 이 복합체는 DNA 이중 나선을 굽히고 약 20개의 염기쌍을 보호합니다. MutS beta는 최대 13 뉴클레오타이드 길이의 insertion-deletion loop (IDL)을 인식합니다. mismatch 결합 후 MutL alpha 복합체와 삼중 복합체를 형성하여 strand discrimination, 절단, 재합성 등 하위 MMR 과정을 유도합니다.
