Target Information
RALA is a multifunctional GTPase involved in various cellular processes such as gene expression, cell migration, cell proliferation, oncogenic transformation, and membrane trafficking. It functions as a GTP sensor for GTP-dependent exocytosis of dense core vesicles and plays a role in early cytokinesis by tethering the exocyst to the cytokinetic furrow. The RALA–exocyst complex regulates integrin-dependent membrane raft exocytosis and growth signaling. It also regulates LPAR1 signaling by competing with GRK2 for receptor binding and is required for anchorage-independent proliferation of transformed cells.
