Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
RNase L is a virally induced endoribonuclease that acts as the terminal factor in the anti-viral action of interferon. Activation of RNase L inhibits viral proliferation and degrades RNA, initiating a cellular stress response and inducing apoptosis. Mutations in RNase L are associated with increased incidence of prostate cancer, suggesting its role in apoptosis-mediated tumor suppression.
