IgG2는 특정 항원에 결합하여 식세포 작용 및 보체 활성화 등 다양한 기전을 통해 병원체 제거를 촉진합니다. 또한 항체 의존성 세포독성(ADCC) 및 독소 중화 반응과 같은 면역 반응에도 관여합니다. 연구에서는 병원체에 대한 면역 반응 연구, 진단 테스트 개발, 자가면역 질환 및 감염성 질환 치료제 개발 등에 사용됩니다.
