Target Information
Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to an antigen. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a crucial role in the adaptive immune response.
It consists of two heavy and two light chains and is involved in:
- Opsonization
- Complement activation
- Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC)
- Regulation of immune responses, including T cell activation and B cell inhibition
Mouse IgG2b is widely used in research and diagnostic applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, as well as in therapeutic research including immunotherapy and vaccine development.
