This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal clones for production.

This antibody has specificity for Mouse DLL4/Delta-like 4.

Target Information

Delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4), also known as Delta-4, is a transmembrane ligand for the Notch1 receptor. It is expressed in vasculature and plays a key role in vascular development. DLL4 expression is induced by VEGF and acts as a negative feedback regulator of angiogenesis. It is strongly expressed in tumor vessels of clear-cell renal and bladder cancers. Inhibition of DLL4 increases vascular proliferation but leads to defective maturation, resulting in reduced tumor growth without apparent toxicity.
