Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Beclin 1 plays a central role in autophagy and functions as a core subunit of the PI3K complex that mediates the formation of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate.
Different PI3K complex forms are involved in multiple membrane trafficking pathways:
- PI3KC3-C1: Initiation of autophagosomes
- PI3KC3-C2: Maturation of autophagosomes and endocytosis
Beclin 1 also contributes to antiviral host defense mechanisms.
