Target Information
TNF-related weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK)은 종양괴사인자 초가족(TNFSF)에 속하는 사이토카인으로, 세포 표면에 결합된 type II 막 단백질 형태로 존재합니다. 세포막 근처 절단을 통해 생물학적으로 활성화된 소형 형태로도 생성될 수 있습니다.
TWEAK은 세포 성장 및 혈관신생 촉진, 염증성 사이토카인 유도, 세포자멸사 유도 등 다양한 생물학적 활성을 나타냅니다.
TWEAK 신호전달 경로는 완전히 규명되지 않았으나, TweakR/Fn14 수용체를 통해 death domain이 없는 다른 TNFSF 구성원과 유사한 방식으로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
