Laminin은 basement membrane의 비콜라겐성 단백질로, 회전 그림자법에 의해 십자형 구조를 가지며 하나의 긴 팔(400 kD)과 세 개의 짧은 팔(200 kD)로 구성되어 있습니다.
Laminin 항체는 basement membrane에 특이적으로 결합하며, 특히 세포막 인접층인 lamina lucida에서 강한 반응을 보입니다.
Laminin은 type IV collagen과 결합하며, 세포 부착과 접착에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
