Reticulocalbin 1은 소포체(ER) 내강에 위치한 칼슘 결합 단백질로, EF-hand 고친화성 Ca²⁺ 결합 모티프와 유사한 6개의 보존 영역을 포함합니다. 이 단백질은 칼슘 결합 외에도 다른 생화학적 기능을 가질 가능성이 있으며, 인간 내피세포 및 전립선암 세포주에서 세포막에 국소화되어 있습니다.
