Target Information
HIPPI (IFT57)는 섬모 형성에 필수적인 단백질로, sonic hedgehog 신호전달 경로의 활성에 간접적으로 관여합니다. 또한 HIP1과의 상호작용을 통해 caspase-8을 모집하여 세포사멸(apoptosis)을 유도할 수 있습니다.
DNA 서열 모티프 5'-AAAGACATG-3'에 결합하여 CASP1, CASP8, CASP10 등의 프로모터를 조절할 수 있는 잠재적 전사 조절 기능을 가집니다. 그러나 이러한 기능의 생리학적 중요성은 아직 명확하지 않습니다.
