Target Information
EIF5A2 is an mRNA-binding protein involved in translation elongation. It plays a key role in mRNA turnover, likely acting downstream of decapping. It is implicated in actin dynamics, cell cycle progression, mRNA decay, and stress response pathways related to cell wall integrity.
Additionally, EIF5A2 functions as a regulator of apoptosis and mediates the effects of polyamines on neuronal process extension and survival. It may play an important role in brain development, neuronal function, and skeletal muscle stem cell differentiation.
