Target Information
GTF3C4 (TFIIIC90) is essential for RNA polymerase III transcription of small nuclear and cytoplasmic RNAs, including 5S RNA, tRNA, and VA RNA. It has histone acetyltransferase (HAT) activity specific for free and nucleosomal H3 and may cooperate with GTF3C5 to facilitate recruitment of TFIIIB and RNA polymerase III through interactions with BRF1, POLR3C, and POLR3F.
