Target Information
The RAD54L protein belongs to the DEAD-like helicase superfamily and shares similarity with Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad54, involved in homologous recombination and DNA repair.
It plays a role in repair of DNA double-strand breaks through homologous recombination.
Binding to double-strand DNA induces topological changes facilitating homologous DNA pairing and recombination.
