Target Information
아데노바이러스는 자연계에 널리 존재하는 DNA 바이러스로, 급성 상기도 감염(감기)의 주요 원인 중 하나입니다. 인간 아데노바이러스는 49개의 혈청형이 알려져 있으며, A~E의 여섯 아형으로 분류됩니다.
이들은 호흡기 질환, 결막염, 위장염 등을 유발하며, 일부는 성병의 원인이 될 가능성이 있습니다. 대부분의 경우 자가 제한적인 발열성 질환을 일으키며, 결막과 호흡기 점막의 염증을 특징으로 합니다.
면역억제 상태(AIDS 등)에서는 바이러스가 재활성화되어 질병을 유발할 수 있습니다.
아데노바이러스 벡터(특히 Ad5 기반)는 유전자 치료 연구에 활용되고 있으며, 임상적 응용 가능성을 보입니다.
