Target Information
CDC42BPB is a serine/threonine kinase involved in actin cytoskeleton assembly and organization.
Myotonic dystrophy kinase-related Cdc42-binding kinases (MRCK-alpha, beta) contain a cysteine-rich motif and a pleckstrin homology domain.
MRCKs phosphorylate nonmuscle Myosin light chain and influence Actin-Myosin contractility.
MRCK-alpha activates LIM kinases downstream of Cdc42, leading to inactivation of ADF/Cofilin and Actin cytoskeletal reorganization.
It can also affect neurite outgrowth promoted by Cdc42 and Rac.
