Target Information
Accurate initiation of translation in eukaryotes is complex and requires multiple factors. The homologs of bacterial IF1 and IF2 are eIF1A and eIF5B in eukaryotes.
eIF1A and eIF5B interact on the ribosome with GTP and other initiation factors to correctly position the methionine tRNA at the start codon, ensuring accurate translation initiation.
