Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases, known as negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. This phosphatase dephosphorylates cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), potentially regulating cell cycle control. Overexpression may cause cell-growth arrest or cell death. Multiple transcript variants exist due to alternative splicing, though not all represent full-length sequences.
