Description:
The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is an isotype control immunoglobulin useful for evaluating background staining in flow cytometric assays.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorophore Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615) emits at 615 nm and is designed for use on cytometers equipped with an ultraviolet (355 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility before use.

Staining Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (e.g., Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information

Isotype controls help distinguish specific antibody signal from background noise caused by Fc receptor binding, non-specific interactions, or autofluorescence.
They are essential negative controls in flow cytometry and other assays such as ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift.
For accurate comparison, the isotype control should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody and, if directly labeled, use the same fluorophore.
