• Description: Monoclonal mouse IgG2b kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome: Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615) emits at 615 nm and is suitable for cytometers equipped with an ultraviolet (355 nm) laser. Confirm instrument compatibility before use.
• Buffer Recommendation: When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.
• Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light due to photo-induced oxidation sensitivity.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark. Clone-specific performance should be empirically determined.
• Excitation/Emission: 350 nm / 615 nm; Laser: Ultraviolet.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a crucial role in adaptive immunity.
It participates in:

• Opsonization
• Complement activation
• Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
• Regulation of immune responses (T-cell activation and B-cell inhibition)

Mouse IgG2b is widely used in research applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, as well as in therapeutic research including immunotherapy and vaccine development.
