Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, M) but absent in resting cells (G0). Ki-67 is a key marker for determining the growth fraction of a cell population and is used widely in tumor cell studies.

The SolA15 antibody also recognizes human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.

• Applications Tested: Intracellular staining of mouse splenocytes using the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00)
• Recommended use: ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
• Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615) emits at 615 nm and is designed for cytometers with a 355 nm UV laser. Ensure instrument compatibility before use.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product #SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product #00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle, but absent in G0 cells. It localizes to euchromatin, centromeric heterochromatin, and the nucleolus, showing cell cycle–dependent distribution. Ki-67 is widely used as a cell proliferation marker, correlating strongly with tumor grade and prognosis. It is also used as a neuronal marker for cell cycling and proliferation.
