MA1-047 항체는 인간, 랫트, 마우스 조직/세포에서 인산화된 CaM kinase II의 알파 서브유닛만을 검출합니다. 비인산화형 알파 서브유닛이나 베타 서브유닛(~60 kDa)에는 반응하지 않습니다.
Western blot, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, ELISA에서 검증되었습니다.
Western blot에서는 인산화된 알파 서브유닛(~50 kDa)만 검출되며, hippocampal 세포에서 세포체와 neuropil 영역이 강하게 염색되고 핵은 약하게 염색됩니다.
면역원은 인산화된 Thr286을 포함한 rat CaM Kinase II 서열 M(281)HRQET(p)VDCLKKFN(294)입니다.

Thr286의 자가 인산화는 CaMKIIα를 칼모듈린 의존형에서 독립형으로 전환시켜 활성화합니다.
CaMKII는 세포주기, 전사 조절, 시냅스 형성, 신경가소성, 골격근의 Ca²⁺ 수송 조절에 관여합니다.
또한 actin 필라멘트와 결합하여 신경세포의 구조적 재편성에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
